Re: Update on my current training

I think there is too much emphasis on horizontal movement. You have lowered your centre of gravity to bring your heels closer to the ground and are pushing and pulling too much, almost like a...

Re: Update on my current training

You have fixed the heel recovery for your start which is good to see. When you go into your start position your hips ascend into a good position but then go back down into a hunched position. Just...

Re: Update on my current training

You are right, that is extreme plantarflexion which also seems to prevent you from extending your knee before and during ground contact. Are you doing B skips? Maybe try to focus on dorsiflexing (or...

    Hi Brett,

It sounds to me like you are a bit too quick to give up. This is the second time you're ready to throw the towel within a few months. You haven't had the proper consistent buildup...

Re: Update on my current training

if you look back through your previous thread and the PMs I sent you, there is more than enough info there to put a training program together. You have been given weekly setups, sample workouts,...

Re: Update on my current training

Running at 90% of PB means 90% of PB velocity. I.e. 10.00s/0.9 = 11.11. Ninety percent of PB time would be 9.0s, which obviously isn't going to happen. However, I don't think I can tell the...

Re: Update on my current training

    Hi Brett,

Your Wed workouts are something a 400m runner may do, and I'm not surprised that you find them very difficult. I don't think they will be of much use to you unless you are thinking of...
