I've been wondering why my joggers are not lasting this year. Back a year ago when training for distance events my shoes were lasting perhaps longer than now and the km run each week are vastly less....

I find it very useful - i generally go off heart rate so work rate remains the same - ie, if you're tired/run down and running at a recovery pace of xx will send your heart rate higher and it wont be...
Been there. Hard work. It's the recovery that smashes you. But you recover quickly as a whole system I find. Ie 24 hrs
