Re: Most effective type of squat

I think this is another study that is not quite what it seems. As someone else had mentioned, the actual speed of the movement was not controlled for, which makes it likely that the quarter squat...

    Re: Scheduling

I guess I am seeing things differently, he never looked great to me in the heats or all year. Even if bolt had more rest than he got, I think bolt at best would be 9.75. He hasn't run fast (for him)...

    No way Merritt wins.

James looked way better IMO, and Wayde is just a beast.

This will definitely be an interesting race for third!

    1 Bolt
    2 Gatlin
    3 ????

DeGrasse looked awesome in the latter half of his semi, but his start was really poor. IMO he will be between...

    Re: Andre DeGrasse to Altis

Perhaps, and as I said, I don't know nearly any of what they are doing. I was a little "in the moment" if you will as I had just watched the race, so my tone was definitely harsh, but its already...

    Re: Andre DeGrasse to Altis

Perhaps you could describe what you saw at Altis? What is going on there? I've been watching their Instagram page for a while and from the looks of it, their training is dog shit. But of course that...

Exactly, Cyde is not the person to go to become faster. However, he is great at making very fast people, very fit.

    Re: Bulgarian squats

They are useless. All of those things can be accomplished without them, and they are probably lower in specificty with respect to sprinting than the squat.

In the words of some top s&c coaches, don't. The system in place at the collegiate level for football, makes it nearly impossible to truly provide a quality training program to any team. You will...

They don't, unfortunately. Lance and Dennis have their groups on opposite sides of the track, nothing is combined. But I'm pretty sure Gay would hurt Gatlins ego anyway ;)

pfaff will do full warm-up and hurdle jumps and starts. Brauman does warm-up starts and accels out 30-60m. I dont like doing that, but it's working for two top coaches.
