    Yeah I remember that template, this is something I used a number of years ago as well.
    Since I have gone back to only running twice a week ,it coincides with not having any achilles /calf injuries...

    Yeah I've strung together a good 9 months training which is the longest stretch I've had for a number of years.
    Have really reduced my volume in the sessions eg
    Mon 2 x 3 x 30m plus medball

    Thanks RB, That's really helpful and something I'll implement.
    I usually do for GH spike:
    Bike ;8 x 30secs max rpm, 90 secs rec at a medium resistance on the bike.

    Cheers for the feedback, My best bet is to just try an option and go with it, leaning towards speed/ weights on the Monday/Thursday and Low intensity tempo on the other days with a HIIT session on...

    OK, CHEERS, when I do speed and weights together it seems to take about 3 hrs..which is tough on a 54yo body ,but actually how I prefer to train.
