What device are you using for EMS?
Are you eyeing any competitions?
Great post, I always enjoy the detail.
Lol I know but it does say 40
4.04 40m? Shoulda been in the Olympics.
Well said, thanks.
Why/how did you add sled work back in your training if it was the cause of hamstring injuries in the past?
I was also wondering the thought behind bare foot running cool downs? Are you doing it...
Athleticism is always the goal.
But last year my girlfriend was living in Paris and I had all the time in the world to train ... now, not so much.
Ya that's true. I only get to use the track for a few months of the year so might as well get out there twice a week.
I'll have to figure out a two day split for my lifting.
That's what I was thinking (although I had Ub on day 4 as well).
Do you think 1 speed day is inadequate for a non-track athlete? I could add jumps and/or very short sprints before my lower body day....
RB, do you mind giving me a hand with some programming? Could take this outside of your log if you prefer.
I don't have the time to be doing track work and lifting in the same session this summer. I...
Are you following any set progression with your power cleans?
Thanks
and good reminder to re-read that thread.
Lol ya but that's not me. Been playing sports non-stop for 25+ years and I'd be awful at powerlifting.
I understand the concerns though.
What issues did you have? Strengthening the wrong muscles?
It does lead to under trained ankles and hip flexors I find.
It's why I'm adding once per week intro to the track this cycle, to make...
Training is going well although it's mostly strength work. I've been running Greg Nuckols' Stronger by Science program (28 Free Programs if you google). Really enjoying it. I'm on my 3rd four week...
Looking strong RB
I find a lot of people underestimate the value of time off and rest.
Especially physios, chiros, etc. They just want to do more and more work to fix an injury that often needs time to recover.
Is "SL" single leg or straight/stiff leg?
How's the knee feeling? Doesn't look like it's limiting anymore.
Cp? Power clean? Clean pull?
It’s been alright, getting better now.
I was working out in an unheated warehouse. Early on in winter I realized that wasn’t going to work, so I spent a lot of time clearing out a vacant office...
That makes more sense. My original thought was:
The weightlifting numbers are impressive but reasonable for an olympic athlete.
The bench is absurd
and the sprints are impossible
Probably his greatest achievement as a strength coach is the training of Pascal Caron, the break man for the Canada 1 bobsled team. At the training camp Pascal turned some heads after he bench...
Thanks
Which book of his?
Why'd you get rid of the 5th movement (Step up jumps) from the program? To me they seemed a bit out of place but just asking.
Should have a proper barbell in the next week or two then I can start...
