  1. Re: materials needed to create training program

Thanks Ange! I actually even go back to the original version of the site which I think started in 2001? While all of us have probably have numerous resources we have relied upon Charlie's philosphies...
  2. Re: materials needed to create training program

Charlie's works are unmatched in my opinion: the best materials available.

Yeah any sponsors would have wanted him to move with Nike likely having the most leverage. I doubt given the success he had with with Mitchell he'd have moved on from him if he did not have to....

I doubt he'd have held onto his sponsors had he stayed with Mitchell given his own history.

Rodgers is having a great season so far. Gatlin's training changed significantly moving from Mitchell to Johnson though he's apparently also coached by a guy who works with Johnson-I think he might...

    Re: 2018 races

Agreed that there is definitely some bad hs track training out there (and collegiate for that matter) that treats all sprinters as if they are preparing for the 400m (if they are lucky) but often...

Definitely and along the way there can be a lot of individual development. Early on I found it more likely they show up and show up on time if for no other reason other than their relay involvement....

    Re: 2018 races

Getting more of that team aspect that so many seem to want is why I think an emphasis on relays is so important for kids-not at the exclusion of individual event, however but always keeping that as a...

Re: Sub max training for max results?

In my opinion (first thought this was true at the time he left for Altis) he should have never left Caryl Smith Gilbert. The rumor I heard is she was going to charge him $150k-not sure if that was...

Due to having a variety of class schedules to work around with about 17 athletes I stick with what Charlie said: If necessary to do weights first, there should be a minimum of 4-5 hours between the...

I assume to give her some rest after the 200m final unless it turns out she did not attend some required relay camp as happened last year when was not on the 4x1 team for WCs.

    Edit: I just read...

I saw it differently, he did not seem to be pressing at all and the eventual gap was more on the guys around him than him trying to win by a big margin as he did coast through. Now the semis is where...
